7th pay commission latest news today: Among several recent decisions taken by the central government, the latest one is related to giving Ration Money Allowance (RMA) to personnel above the rank of Commandant in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The decision to this effect is taken by Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which agreed to give this allowance to CRPF personnel according to their deployment.

According to reports coming in, the Union Home Ministry had earlier announced to give ration allowance to 2 lakh CRPF personnel, who were also extended Rs 22,184 as allowance arrears. Notably, the allowance for officers above the Commandant rank will be more than this amount.

The Home Ministry order signed by the Under Secretary stated that according to the Delhi High Court order on April 10, 2019, the proposal to give ration money allowance to CRPF personnel above the Commandant Rank has been discussed with the Ministry of Finance (Expenditure Department) and has also been agreed upon.

In response to a petition filed by CRPF officer Vikram Singh, the RMA order is being complied with by the Central Paramilitary Forces on the direction of the High Court. Earlier in September, the government had stopped the allowance for CRPF personnel after delay in the approval for funds of Rs 800 crore.

Notably, the festival of Diwali has already brought cheers for central employees belonging to Indian Railways as well as India Post. These departments have issued orders to increase 7th Pay Commission based DA of their employees by as much as 5% to 17%. Notably, all departments as well as states are set to extend the DA gift to their employees before the festival of Diwali, which is on Sunday, October 27.
