Before extending deadline for submission of digital life certificate, the government has also provided relief to them on pension payment order (PPO). Pensioners can now store PPO in Digi locker. This will reduce complete reliance on physical copy of pension payment order.

The government has also launched door step service for digital life certificate. With the launch of this innovative service, pensioners will not be required to visit the pension disbursing agency office and banks. The pensioners will be able to generate the life certificate either by visiting the nearest post office or through the doorstep banking service offered through postmen or Gramin Dak Sevaks. Postman will submit digital certificate online by charging a nominal fee of Rs 70.
