7th Pay Commission latest news: The Indian Coast Guard has issued a notification for filling up the vacancies for Naviks. Selected candidates will be given the Pay Scale of Rs 21,700 and they will be given Level-3 perks as recommended by the 7th CPC and approved by the central government. Eligible and interested candidates will have to apply online by logging in at joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. The Indian Coast Guard has started to receive online applications from October 30 and will continue to receive online applications till 08th November 2019 till 5.00 PM. An applicant must note that the Indian Coast Guard has made it clear in its job notification that only online application will be received.

Clarifying the eligibility criteria for applying for these posts, the Indian Coast Guard has notified that the applicant should be 10th passed with 50 per cent marks in aggregate from a board of education recognised by central or state government. For SC or ST candidates, 5 per cent relaxation will be given to the aggregate marks obtained. Those national sportspersons who have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in any of the field sports events at the Open National Championship or State national Championship will also be eligible for 5 per cent relaxation in aggregate marks obtained in 10th. This 5 per cent relaxation is also extended to the applicants who are wards of the Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased during their service period. The age limit for the interested candidate is 18 to 22 years as on 01 April 2020. In the case of SC or ST candidate, upper age relaxation of 5 years will be given while for an OBC candidate, 3 years upper age relaxation is given.

According to the job notification, starting basic pay scale of the selected candidate is Rs 21,700 and the Pay Level offered is Level-3. Apart from this Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the nature of duty or place of posting as per the regulation enforced from time to time will be applicable. There are two recruitment zones — Northern Zone and North-Eastern Zone.
