Quant Mutual Fund adds Apollo Micro Systems to portfolio - Quant Mutual Fund on January 17 (Tuesday) added Apollo Micro Systems (NSE: APOLLO) to its stock holding portfolio. As per data, Quant Mutual Fund has bought 5,52,774 shares or 2.66 per cent shareholding in the company that primarily caters to defence and aerospace sectors.

The shares of Apollo Micro Systems were trading at Rs 328.90 a piece on NSE on Tuesday around noon. The shares of the small cap category company have delivered a whopping 150 per cent return in the past 6 months, resulting in wealth gain for its investors.

The Quant's portfolio includes big names like ITC, Tata Steel, SBI, Airtel, LIC, NACL industries, Birlasoft, Confidence Petroleum India, Ramkrishna Forgings, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Maruti Suzuki India among others. 

Earlier, Apollo Micro Systems had acquired a majority stake in Ananya SIP RF Technologies (ASIP RF). Through the acquisition, the company aimed to expand the business towards new technologies by establishing a radio frequency (RF) and microwave design-cum-production facility along with the integration facility.

Originally incorporated in 1996, Quant Mutual Fund is a leading mutual fund house in the country.
