Income taxpayers will now be able to file their income tax returns (ITR) on mobile also. The Income Tax Department will launch a new portal called e-filing 2.0 for filing income tax returns on June 7, 2021.

According to a report by PTI, the Income Tax Department has said that it will be easy to use the new portal through mobile phones and information regarding pre-filled income tax details, ITR Form and Saral Income Tax facilities will be made available on the portal.

E-filing services will not be available from June 1 to 6

The Income Tax Department has informed that the e-filing services will not be available for six days that is from June 1 to June 6, before the launch of the new portal. The department has also suggested the taxpayers to submit their application before or after this date if they want to get any response or service.

 

Features on the new portal

On the new portal of the Income Tax Department that is e-filing 2.0, users will be able to take help from step-by-step guidance, user manual and video. This will be a safe portal and there will be many login options. 

Along with this, the taxpayers will get helpdesk assistance and many payment options will be available on the portal.
