The Income Tax Department releases a tax calendar for each month to inform taxpayers about the important due dates. Missing deadlines can cause inconvenience to you and sometimes attract penalties. This June, there are five such important due dates you must mark on your calendar.

June 7

 It is the last date to deposit tax deducted or collected for the month of May. 

June 14

This is the last date for the issuance of TDS certificate for tax deducted under section 194-IA, section 194-IB, section 194M, and section 194S of the Income Tax Act in April 2023.

June 15

June 15 is the due date for filing the first installment of advance tax for assessment year 2024-25.

It is also the last date to issue quarterly TDS certificates for the quarter ending March 2023 is June 15.

It is for the tax deducted for payments other than salary.

Employees must be provided with the certificate of tax deducted at source for the salary paid and tax deducted during FY 2022-23 by June 15.

The Income Tax Department has set June 15 as the due date for furnishing statement in Form no. 3BB by a stock exchange.

June 15 is the last date to furnish statement in Form no. 64D of income paid credited by an investment fund to its unit holder for the year 2022-23.

June 29

This is the last date for the e-filing of a statement in Form no. 3CEK by an eligible investment fund under section 9A for the activities in the financial year 2022-23.

June 30

June 30 is another important date as it is the deadline for the furnishing of several financial statements.

It is the last date to furnish challan-cum-statement under section 194-IA, section 194-IB, section 194M, and section 194-S in May 2023.

The quarterly return of non-deduction of tax at source by a banking company must also be done by June 30.

The return is in respect to the non-deduction of tax at source from the interest on time deposit for the quarter ending March 31, 2023.

June 30 has been set as the deadline for the linking of your PAN card with Aadhaar.

It is the last date to furnish statement in Form no. 64C by the Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) to unit holders for the income distributed in 2022-23.

Approved institutions/public sector companies must submit report under section 35AC(4)/(5) for the year ending March 31, 2023 by June 30.

June 30 is the due date for furnishing statement of income distributed by business trusts to its unit holder in form no.64B. Furnishing of equalisation levy for the financial year 2022-23 should also be done by June 30.
