Employees who are registered under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) are provided with a unique number or a code that helps them to get a pension after their retirement.

The unique number or code given to the pensioners is termed as Pension Payment Order (PPO). The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) allots this number to every employee who retires from any organisation.

Step 2: Click on Pensioners' Portal option available under online services on the homepage.

Step 3: Select 'Know your PPO number' option.

Step 4: Submit either 'Bank Account Number' or 'Member ID (PF Number)'.

Step 5: After you submit the details successfully, the PPO number will be displayed on the screen.

Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995 (EPS) is one of the schemes offered by EPFO. EPS provides a monthly benefit for superannuation/retirement, disability, survivor, widow(er) and children. Minimum pension on disablement and past service benefit to participants of erstwhile Family Pension Scheme, 1971 is also offered.
