It is mandatory for Employees Provident Fund (EPF) account holders to link their Aadhaar number and PF account by August 31, 2021, as PF rule is going to change from September 1, 2021. If the EPFO members fails to link their Aadhaar with EPF by August 31 then it can lead to discontinuation of recruiter's contribution in one's PF account.

It can be noted that earlier the deadline for linking PF account with Aadhaar was May 30, 2021, which was later extended by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to August 31, 2021.

How to Link Aadhaar to PF account?

Here are the steps which can be followed for online linking of EPF and Aadhaar:

1. Go to the official website of EPFO at epfindia.gov.in.

2. Then in Online Services click on E-KYC Portal.

3. Provide your UAN and Aadhaar-registered mobile number.

4. After entering the details click on 'Generate OTP' option.

5. Enter the OTP and complete your EPF-Aadhaar seeding process.
