On the landing page of State Bank of India WhatsApp Banking services, the bank informs that customers can just scan the QR code using their mobile and avail the Whatsapp banking services offered by SBI.

1) Get Balance: Apart from saving account balance, sole proprietors CC OD aacount-holders can also avail additional features for Book Balance, Account renewal date, Stock Statement expiry Date, etc.

2) Mini statement: SBI account holders can receive details of up to last 10 transactions.

3) Account statement: Customers can access details of up to 250 transactions.

4) Other Statement services: Information regarding Home loan and Education loan interest certificate can also be accessed via Whatsapp banking

SBI Whatsapp banking services: How to activate Whatsapp banking? Process to activate account 

To activate SBI Whatsapp banking service, users can write and send “Hi” from their WhatsApp Number to +919022690226 and follow the step-by-step instructions provided by the Chat-Bot.

Alternatively, SBI account holders can type and send an SMS in the following format “WAREG ACCOUNT NUMBER” to +917208933148 from your registered mobile number with the State Bank of India. 

For instancee, if the user's Account number is 123456789, then they will have to type and send SMS as WAREG 123456789 to +917208933148.

After that, if the registration is successful, then they will receive a confirmation message on the Whatsapp linked to their registered mobile number. They then have to send a “Hi” from their WhatsApp Number to +919022690226 and follow the step-by-step instructions given by the SBI Chat-Bot.
