Holi 2024: Are banks open/closed today? Private as well as public banks will remain closed in several parts of the country on Monday, March 25 for Holi, Dhuleti, Dol Jatra or Dhulandi. Bank holiday rules often vary from city to city in the country, with some days marked as public holidays nationwide and others specific to certain regions.

For instance, banks in cities including Mumbai, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Lucknow and Kolkata will be shut on Monday, whereas banks in cities such as Patna and Bhubaneswar will observe a holiday the next day, March 26, according to the Reserve Bank of India website, rbi.org.in.
