Voltas Q3 Preview: Tata Group’s air-conditioner manufacturing company, Voltas, is all set to report its December quarter results on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Zee Business Research estimates the company to post a Q3 PAT of Rs 87 crore as against a loss of Rs 110 crore in the same quarter a year ago on account of an exceptional item amounting to Rs 138 crore.

Revenue at the company is also seen edging higher by 22 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 2,455 crore versus Rs 2,006 crore logged in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

Analysts estimate the company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), a key financial metric determining profitability, to soar 53 per cent to Rs 119 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 78 crore recorded in the third quarter of the financial year 2022–23.

Voltas' margins are also expected to grow to 5 per cent in the December quarter from 4 per cent in the same quarter a year ago.

The home appliances major is expected to log 20 per cent growth in volume on the back of stocking before the season.

The unitary cooling products (UCP) segment, which is a major revenue source for the company, is seen to log 18–20 per cent growth in income, with margins expected to be near 8 per cent. Similarly, the company’s EMPS, or electro-mechanical projects and services, segment is estimated to register 35 per year-over-year growth. Furthermore, the research desk noted that the order book for the EMPS segment remains strong.

Besides, the company's Beko business, which deals with kitchen and home appliances, is also seen to register double-digit growth in the period under review.
