TVS Motor Company (TVSMOTOR) shares rose on Monday after the auto major launched a new avatar of its Apache 160 motorcycle, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, with features such as dual channel ABS and voice assist.  The new variant, priced at Rs 1,34,990 (ex-showroom Tamil Nadu), will be available in lightening blue and matte black colour options, both of which will feature sporty red alloy wheels, the company said.

The Chennai-headquarter company's stock rose by as much as Rs 13.5, or 0.7 per cent, to Rs 1,916.2 apiece on BSE. 

The company unveiled the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V at its flagship motorcycle festival, TVS Motosoul, in Goa. 

TVS Motor Company said the new Apache RTR 160 4V boasts power of 17.6 PS, offering one of the highest power-to-weight ratios in the segment.

It comes loaded with features such as dual channel ABS with rear lift protection, weight reduction of two kilograms, three ride modes, "SmartXonnect with voice assist and LED headlamp with DRL", according to a statement.

It brings together riders, customers, enthusiasts, music lovers. The event has always stayed true to the TVS commitment of innovation and pushing boundaries. The last two days have beenmemorable and we are happy to be catalysts to a festival that actually belongs to the motorcycling community," said Vimal Sumbly, Head Business-Premium at TVS Motor Company. 

In a separate development, TVS Motor Company announced the extension of its partnership with Petronas for the next season. The Petronas TVS Racing association hascompleted two seasons with 80 per cent wins across different race formats in India, and the partnership will now also focus on introducing co-branded merchandise that aligns with the values and identity of both brands, TVS Motor Company said.

TVS Motor entered into a partnership with energy company Petronas in 2022.
