Stocks to watch, June 2: Domestic equities are likely to see a strong opening on May 2, Friday. The US Senate has also passed bipartisan legislation backed by President Joe Biden that lifts the government's $31.4 trillion debt ceiling, averting what would have been a historic, first-ever default. Besides, the Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) traded 0.40 per cent or 74.5 points higher at 18,638 levels.

Let's take a look at the top stocks that may remain in focus today:

Tata Motors reported on Thursday a 1.62 per cent decline in total sales at 74,973 units in May as compared to the same month last year. The company had posted a total sales of 76,210 units in May 2022, Tata Motors said in a statement.

Other Auto stocks: For May 2023, Maruti Suzuki (MSIL) sales volume was up 10.7 per cent MoM at 1.75 lakh units. Volumes at TVS Motors were at 3.2 lakh units, up 8.3 per cent MoM. Market leader Hero MotoCorp reported volume growth of 31.1per cent MoM at 5.19 lakh units. Bajaj auto volumes grew 6.8 per cent, MoM, at 3.07 lakh units.

Coal India: The ongoing OFS will open for retail investors today. Non Retail portion gets a good response and it was subscribed 3.46 times.

Infosys: Shares of the IT services giant will trade ex-dividend today. Infosys (INFY) announced on April 13 a final dividend of Rs 17.5 per equity share for the financial year ending March 2023. The company had fixed a record date of June 2 for the dividend. A record date is a date that determines the shareholders' eligibility to receive the benefit of a corporate action, such as a dividend payout.

Garware Technical Fibres: The management of Garware Technical Fibres stated that it was witnessing improvement in aquaculture and sports segment demand and the company is confident of reporting an EBITDA margin of around 21% in FY24. It aims to double revenues over the next 5 years. 

NCC Limited has received new orders aggregating Rs 2,088 crore (excluding GST) in May'23. Out of this, Building Division has signed the agreements for the orders amounting to Rs1,668 crore and Water Division secured an order for Rs 420 Crore. NCC Limited had also received 6 new orders aggregating to Rs 3,344 crore (excluding GST) earlier in April 2023.

Adani Enterprises: Stock Exchanges BSE and NSE will remove the securities of Adani Enterprises from the short-term additional surveillance measure (ASM) framework on Friday, June 2.

Eicher Motors reported total commercial vehicle sales of 6,289 units in May, a rise of 11.6% from 5,637 units in the same month last year.

Aditya Birla Capital to raise Rs 1,250 crore from Grasim and Surya Kiran Inv.

Ashok Leyland: Commercial vehicles maker Ashok Leyland on Thursday reported a 1 per cent decline in total sales at 13,134 units in May. The company had posted total sales of 13,273 units in May 2022, Ashok Leyland said in a statement.
