Subros share price: Shares of Subros and Amber Enterprises gained in Monday’s trade (December 11) after the government’s mandate of AC installation in all N2 and N3 truck categories. Subros gained over 17 per cent to hit the day’s high price of Rs 530 per share. In the previous trading session, the stock closed at Rs 450.7 apiece.

Amber Enterprises, which is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) that offers products including air conditioners and other consumer durables, also got a boost from the development. The stock gained over 2 per cent to hit the day’s high of Rs 3,164.95.

All new trucks manufactured on or after October 1, 2025, must be equipped with AC cabins for drivers, as the Road Transport and Highways Ministry has issued a notification mandating air-conditioned truck cabins, the PTI report said.

In a gazette notification, the ministry said, "The vehicles manufactured on or after October 1, 2025, shall be fitted with an air-conditioning system for the cabin of vehicles in the N2 and N3 categories.". The testing of the cabin fitted with an air-conditioning system shall be as per IS14618:2022, it added.

In separate news, Subros announced on Saturday in a press release that the company has bagged an order worth Rs 25 crore from the Railways for the supply and commissioning of coach roof-mounted air conditioners.

Subros is an auto stock that, on a year-to-date basis, has delivered over a 50 per cent return, while its one-year return is 64 per cent.
