Market wrap: Check no. of stocks that hit lower circuits today, 52-week lows, & more
Stock market today: In todays trade, the market breadth was in favour of bears, as out of 3,645 companies traded on the BSE, 1,717 advanced and 1,796 declined, while 132 were unchanged.
Stock market update: The equity market came under heavy selling pressure on May 31, Wednesday. However, the indices recovered a bit towards the end of the session. The S&P BSE Sensex eventually settled 0.55 per cent, or 346.89 points, lower at 62,622.24. The index hit a low of 62,401.02 during the trade.
In today's trade, the market breadth was in favour of bears, as out of 3,562 companies traded on the BSE, 1,717 advanced and 1,796 declined, while 132 were unchanged, as per the BSE data. As many as 172 stocks hit their 52-week highs, while 38 scrips touched their 52-week lows.
Further, as many as 13 stocks ended in their upper circuit bands on the exchange, while 8 settled in their lower circuit bands. The market capitalisation of the BSE-listed companies stood at 2,83,76,277.78 crore, BSE final data showed.
