Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty finished around half a per cent each on Friday, marking their best single-day gain in almost three weeks, amid buying interest in financial and metal stocks though selling pressure in IT shares following Accenture results kept the upside in check.

A partial recovery in global markets, rocked by concerns about higher-for-longer benchmark interest rates, aided the sentiment on Dalal Street.

According to the BSE website, bseindia.com, trading across cash, derivatives, and securities lending and borrowing (SLB) segments will remain unavailable on October 2, and will resume the next day.

When will trading be available on BSE, NSE, MCX and NCDEX next?

The country's capital market will resume trading normally on Tuesday at 9:15 am, following a 15-minute pre-opening session, according to the websites of BSE and NSE.

MCX will remain shut for both the morning as well as evening sessions on October 2 on account of the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, and resume trading normally at 9 am on Tuesday, October 3.
