Stock Market holiday: There will be no action on the bourses for five days in the next five weeks this year.  According to the holiday calendar available with the BSE, both the leading stock exchanges -- the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE will remain closed on the following occasions:

  • Ram Navami--March 30 (Thursday)

Stock market holidays April 2023

  • Mahavir Jayanti--April 4 (Tuesday)

  • Good Friday--April 7 (Friday)

  • Dr.Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti--April 14 (Friday)

Stock market holidays May 2023

  • Maharashtra Day--May 1 (Monday)

As per the BSE, the Equity Segment, Equity Derivative Segment and SLB Segment as well as the Currency Derivatives Segment and Interest Rate Derivatives segments will remain shut on these days.

India's first listed exchange,  Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) will also remain closed for trading in the morning session on March 30, April 4, April 14 and May 1. It will resume trading in the evening session from 5 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm. 

MCX will remain shut for both sessions on the occasion of Good Friday on April 7.
