At around 8:14 a.m. on Monday, November 6, the GIFT Nifty futures traded with a positive bias, up 0.11 per cent or 22 points at 19,449, suggesting a muted to positive start to trading on Dalal Street.

Tracking positive cues from the global markets, Indian equities extended their winning run to the second straight session on Friday. Nifty ended 0.51 per cent higher at 19,230.6 points, while Sensex added 0.44 per cent and closed the session at 64,363.78. Meanwhile, broader markets outperformed their headline peers, with Nifty Midcap 100 gaining 0.7 per cent.

Results today, November 6: AIA Engineering, Hitachi Energy, Adani Energy, Bajaj Electricals. Bharat Forge, Bikaji Foods, Borosil Renewables, Barbeque Nation, Zydus Wellness, Dalmia Sugar, Divi’s Laboratories and Nykaa among others will announce their results for the second quarter (Q2FY24) today.

SBI: SBI on Saturday announced its Q2 results with PAT coming in at Rs 16,100 crore as against 14,752 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

Shipping Corporation of India: The shipping company on Friday for the Q2 period reported PAT at Rs 66 crore versus Rs 114 crore in the year-ago period.

Procter and Gamble Hygiene and Health: The personal products company’s shares will be in focus post its second quarterly performance.

Affle India: The marketing consulting services firm posted PAT at Rs 67 crore for the Q2 period versus Rs 59 crore in the same period last year.

Bank of Baroda: The state-run lender over the weekend posted its Q2 results with NIMs below estimate. Slippages increased by 24.5 per cent YoY, while 76.6 per cent sequentially. JP Morgan has maintained its 'overweight' call on the counter with a raised target price of Rs 250.

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals: The electronics company posted Q2 results in line with estimates. Profit at the firm declined by 23 per cent YoY, while margins shrinked to 9.8 per cent as against 11.4 per cent in the same quarter last year.

Metropolis Healthcare: The September quarter turned out to be an operationally weak quarter for the healthcare entity with margins coming out to be 24.3 per cent.

JK Cement: The company posted the best results in the cement industry during the Q2 period. Profit at the firm increased 60.8 per cent year-on-year, while margins jumped to 17 per cent.

Vedanta:The diversified metals company posted operationally very strong quarter, with the highest ever quarterly revenue. Also, the EBITDA is the second highest on a quarterly basis.

Interglobe Aviation: The parent company of IndiGo posted better Q2 results with profit coming in at Rs 189 crore as against expectation of a loss of Rs 2060 crore.

Aarti Industries: The specialty chemicals company reported operationally strong results. Profit during the reporting quarter stood at Rs 91 crore as against estimates of Rs 60 crore.

Vishnu Prakash R Punglia: The construction and engineering company's joint venture has bagged an order worth Rs 174.7 crore from the office of Dy. Chief Engineer Construction, Ajmer, Rajasthan.

Cello World: The company with a strong presence across segments including consumer houseware, stationery etc. is set to debut on the bourses today after garnering strong interest for its public issue.

Titan: CLSA has upgraded the watchmaker with a 'buy' rating from an 'outperform' call earlier after its quarterly performance. The brokerage has also raised the target to Rs 3948 from the earlier Rs 3540.

Zomato: Zomato has been upgraded to a buy with a raised target price of Rs 168 from the previous Rs 120.

JK Paper:The company posted weak performance during the Q2 period with margins declining to 25 per cent versus 33 per cent in the same quarter last year.

Corporate actions: Colgate Palmolive India, IRB Infrastructure, MPS and Shriram Finance will trade ex-dividend today.
