SBI dividend 2023, SBI share price BSE: State Bank of India (SBI) — the country's largest lender by assets —traded ex-dividend on Wednesday, May 31. Earlier this month, SBI had announced a dividend of Rs 11.3 per share — a payout of Rs 1,130 per cent given the face value of Re 1 per share. On Tuesday, SBI shares finished a choppy session with a loss of Rs 2.1 or 0.4 per cent at Rs 592.9 apiece on BSE, halting a two-day winning streak.

SBI's board has fixed June 14 as the payment date for the dividend. "The date of payment of the dividend is fixed on 14th June 2023 and the dividend warrants will be dispatched before the date of payment, which will be payable, in India, at par at all branches of State Bank of India, irrespective of the amount," according to a regulatory filing.

SBI Q4 results

State Bank of India reported a standalone net profit of Rs 16,694.5 crore for the quarter ended March, beating analysts' estimates by a huge margin. SBI's net profit grew 83.2 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago. SBI's net interest margin (NIM) came in at 3.84 per cent, better than 3.69 per cent for the previous three months as well as 3.4 per cent for the quarter ended March 2022. Also better than Zee Business analysts' estimate of 3.6 per cent. 

According to Zee Business research, the quarter net profit was estimated at Rs 14,800 crore and NII at Rs 40,000 crore. SBI in its filing said that its operating profit increased 24.9 per cent to Rs 24,621 crore compared with the year-ago period.
