NALCO Share Price: National Aluminium (NALCO) hit a 52-week high of Rs 176.20 on BSE Wednesday (April 3, 2024) after the PSU set a new record in production and sales to achieve the highest-ever aluminium and bauxite production in FY 23-24.

After previous close of Rs 166.15, the NALCO stock opened at Rs 167.20 on Wednesday and hit a 52-week high of Rs 176.20, a jump of 6.05 per cent from the closing price on Tuesday. 

The PSU stock was trading higher by 4.91 per cent, or Rs 8.15, at Rs 174.30 at 11:57 am on Wednesday.

NALCO on Tuesday that it had achieved the highest-ever cast metal production of 4,63,428 metric tonnes, its highest-ever bauxite excavation of 76,00,230 metric tonnes and the highest-ever metal sale of 4,70,108 metric tonnes, surpassing all previous records since inception. In FY 23-24, the company has also added a new aluminium alloy ingot (AL59) to its product range.

"Achieving 101.15% capacity utilization, NALCO’s Alumina Refinery has produced 21,24,000 Metric Tonnes of Alumina Hydrate, while the Captive Power Plant has generated a gross 7193.62 million units of power," said NALCO in the statement.
