Hindustan Zinc Share Price: Shares of Hindustan Zinc were soaring higher in the morning session on BSE on Monday after the Vedanta Ltd company announced that it was considering a second interim dividend for the financial year 2023-24.

The company's shares were trading higher by 4.81 per cent, or Rs 14.45, at Rs 315.00 each at 10:40 am on Monday.

The stock that closed at Rs 300.55 on Friday started its journey on Monday at Rs 317.80 before rising to the day's high of Rs 319.60.

"We wish to inform you that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on Wednesday, December 06, 2023 to consider 2nd interim dividend on equity shares, if any, for the Financial Year 2023-24," Hindustan Zinc said in a statement on Monday. 

Record date for interim dividend

Hindustan Zinc said in the statement, "The Record date for eligibility of 2nd interim dividend, if any, so declared will be Thursday, December 14, 2023."

Further, pursuant to the provisions of the Securities & Exchange Board of India (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015 and Insider Trading Prohibition Code of the Company, it is to inform that the trading window will remain closed for the designated persons from December 03, 2023 till December 08, 2023 (Both days inclusive), the statement reads. 

Vedanta Ltd Share Price

Even as Hindustan Zinc share price was soaring higher on the back of the interim dividend announcement, shares of its parent company, Vedanta Ltd, were also trading higher.

Vednata shares were up by 0.69 per cent, or Rs 1.65 per cent, at Rs 240.95 each at 10:40 am on BSE on Monday.
