Indian equities ended higher for the second consecutive day led by gains in the IT pack. Nifty at the close settled higher at 52 points, or 0.24 per cent higher at 21,710.8, while Sensex added 178.58 points, or 0.25 per cent higher at 72,026. Meanwhile, broader markets continued to scale new highs, with Nifty Midcap 100 ending higher.

Shree Cement: Shares of the company ended with a decline of 5 per cent at Rs 27,000 despite new offerings and revamp.

Grasim Industries: Shares of the company settled 0.6 percent higher at Rs 2079.1. This is after the company has 
approved the rights issue.

Power Grid Corporation: Shares of the utility player ended with a marginal cut at Rs 241.3 even as the company has been declared as successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding to establish Inter-State Transmission System for “Transmission Scheme for Solar Energy Zone in Bidar (2500 MW), Karnataka” on Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

BEML: The PSU stock ended 7 per cent higher at Rs 3090.45 following receipt of contract from the Defence Ministry.
