Domestic benchmark indices fell about one per cent amid a broad-based sell-off on Tuesday, tracking mixed cues from global markets as investors awaited a key inflation reading from the US.

The Sensex lost 736.4 points to end at 72,012.1 and the Nifty50 settled at 21,817.5, down 238.3 points from its previous close.

TCS:

TCS shares ended more than 4 per cent lower at Rs 3,972 apiece after Tata Sons reportedly offloaded stake worth Rs 9,362 crore through a block deal. 

 

Shipping Corporation of India:

SCI shares ended nearly 4 per cent lower< at Rs 194.9, as shares of a subsidiary of the company entered the listed space.

Star Health and Allied Insurance:

Shares in the insurer ended over 1 per cent lower at Rs 545 amid a spurt in volume.

PC Jeweller:

Shares of the company ended 5 per cent lower at Rs 58.8 amid news that the company was mulling a proposal to raise funds.

Aditya Birla Sunlife AMC:

Shares of the company ended over 3 per cent lower at Rs 459.7 after its OFS hit the Street.

HDFC Bank:

Shares of the private lender ended 0.2 per cent higher at Rs 1,450.

REC:

REC shares ended nearly 2 per cent lower at Rs 429.1 after company declared a third interim dividend for the current financial year.

Tata Steel:

The Tata group stock ended 0.6 per cent lower at Rs 148.7 after the company announced it would shut down a coke ovens unit in the UK.

L&T Finance:

The NBFC stock ended 0.6 per cent lower at Rs 147.1 after the company’s board gave the nod to raise funds via NCDs.

Bondada Engineering:

Stock in the company surged 5 per cent to Rs 815.1 apiece after it bagged an order from Singareni Collieries Company.
