Share Market HIGHLIGHTS: Domestic equity benchmarks Nifty 50 and Sensex on Friday, October 20, settled in negative territory for the third straight session amid broad-based selling. Share Market HIGHLIGHTS: Domestic equity benchmarks Nifty 50 and Sensex on Friday, October 20, settled in negative territory for the third straight session amid broad-based selling. Globally, US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's comments fanned worries over higher-for-longer interest rates, and the Middle East crisis dented sentiments.

At close, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 231.62 points, or 0.35 per cent, at 65,397.62, and the Nifty was down 82.05 points, or 0.42 per cent, at 19,542.65. In the broader markets, the Nifty Mid Cap 100 and Small Cap 100 ended in red. High-beta Nifty Bank finished flat at 43,723.05.

  • Share Market Today LIVE | IGL cracks 10% after Jefferies downgrades the stock to hold; stock tumbles over 14% in 2 days

    Shares of the gas distribution company Indraprastha Gas extends their losing streak for the second straight session on Friday (October 20) after global brokerage double downgraded the stock to hold from the earlier buy rating. The brokerage has also slashed the target price significantly from the previous Rs 565 to Rs 465, implying potential upside of nearly 2 per cent from the previous close.     Cyient: The IT-enabled services firm came out with its September results on Thursday (October 19). Net profit at the firm grew marginally quarter-on-quarter to Rs 178 crore in the July-September period as against Rs 168 crore in the June ended quarter.

    Aarti Drugs: The small-cap drug company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 39.6 crore in the Q2 FY24 period. The figure stood at Rs 38.8 crore during the same period last year. Read more

    Anand Rathi Wealth dividend
