SHARE MARKET TODAY LIVE: The S&P BSE Sensex surpassed the crucial 72,000 for the first time, while the Nifty Bank ended above 48,200 amid healthy buying across the board. At close, the Sensex stood at 72,038.43, up 701.63 points, or 0.98 per cent while the NSEs Nifty ended at 21,654.75, up 213.40 points. Nifty Bank shut the shop at 48,282.20 levels. SHARE MARKET TODAY LIVE: It was another day of milestones on D-Street on Wednesday, December 27. The key equity indices, Sensex, Nifty, and Nifty Bank, all hit record highs during the session and ended at fresh closing peaks. The S&P BSE Sensex surpassed the crucial 72,000 for the first time, while the Nifty Bank ended above 48,200 amid healthy buying across the board. At close, the Sensex stood at 72,038.43, up 701.63 points, or 0.98 per cent while the NSE's Nifty ended at 21,654.75, up 213.40 points. Nifty Bank shut the shop at 48,282.20 levels.

    The SJVN stock was up by 2.93 per cent, or Rs 2.68, at Rs 94.25 at 9:35 on Wednesday.
