Petrol and diesel prices were once again hiked on Monday, June 7, showed Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) website.  It came after the oil marketing companies hiked fuel rates on Sunday, June 6. Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked for the 21st time since May 4. Overall, during this duration, petrol got costlier by Rs 4.76 and diesel by Rs 5.31 in Delhi. Recently petrol price also breached Rs 100-mark in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, after revision of oil rates, petrol costs Rs 95.31 per litre, while diesel Rs 86.22 litre in the National Capital on Monday.  

In the financial capital, Mumbai, petrol price is Rs 101.52 per litre, while diesel is being retailed at Rs 93.58 per litre.  

In Kokata, Petrol is being sold for Rs 95.28 per litre, while Diesel price touched Rs 89.07 per litre 

Similarly in Chennai, Petrol price  on Monday is Rs 96.71 per litre, while diesel prices is Rs 90.92 per litre 

It is to be noted that oil marketing companies—Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) revise the fuel prices on a daily basis. These prices are revised in line with benchmark international price and foreign exchange rates. 

Petrol and diesel prices at Rs 106.37 per litre and Rs 99.23 a litre, respectively are maximum in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan.
