Domestic Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have released petrol and diesel prices for Saturday, July 3. As per revised rate on Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) portal today, the prices have been kept unchanged on Saturday. Earlier on Friday, fuel rates were hiked after two days pause, which saw another metro city (Chennai) joining the list of states and Union Territories where petrol is being retailed at Rs 100 and above. Before this, Mumbai was the only metro city where petrol was sold above Rs 100, while Delhi and Kolkata at above Rs 99 are only couple of hikes away from touching the psychological barrier.

Since petrol and diesel prices were unchanged on Saturday as per IOCL website, the fuel prices remaines as same as on Friday in four metro cities.   

Petrol and diesel prices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai on July 3, 2021   

DELHI – Petrol: Rs 99.16 | Diesel: Rs 89.18.    

MUMBAI - Petrol: Rs 105.24 | Diesel: Rs 96.72     

KOLKATA - Petrol: Rs 99.04 and Diesel: Rs 92.03   

CHENNAI – Petrol: Rs 100.13, while Diesel Price: Rs 93.72 

Petrol has already crossed Rs 100 in 12 states and union territories – Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Bihar, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha and Ladakh. 

Petrol and diesel prices are revised on daily basis since June 2017 and are effected at 6 am daily. Earlier, the practice was to revise the prices fortnightly. Petrol prices
