Gold rate today (April 24, 2023): Precious metals in the domestic market on Monday traded under pressure, gold below Rs 60,000 level, and silver below Rs 75,000 level.

On MCX, gold futures (June 5) was flat by Rs 6 or 0.01 per cent to Rs 59,839 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, Silver futures (May 5) was down but at Rs 314 or 0.42 per cent at Rs 74,340.

In the international market, Comex gold traded at $1990.6 per ounce. 

Spot gold traded flat in the international market and stood at $1,979.8 per ounce.

What analyst suggests? 

Correction in gold and silver will continue according to Amit Sajeja, Vice President - Research- Commodities & Currencies, Motilal Oswal.

He recommends selling Gold June futures on rise at Rs 60,000/60,100, keeping a short-term target of Rs 59,600. For Silver May futures he recommends sell on rise at Rs 75,000/75,200, keeping the target of Rs 74,000 to Rs 73,800. 

According to Sajeja, silver will trade under pressure below Rs 76,000 levels.
