A surge in cumin prices has led to cases of theft in Unjha-bound delivery trucks from Jodhpur in Rajasthan. According to a special report by Zee Business, there have been 10-12 instances of such theft in the state over the past 15 days, and the policy are scrutinising the matter.

Most of these incidents are reported on the national highway, according to witnesses.

As of Monday, cumin futures have cooled off by about Rs 2,000 to Rs 40,500 per 100 kilograms from all-time highs scaled in the recent past.
