They must have a strategy, Such Investors should invest in a Nifty or Sensex funds and remain invested. They should know that only good quality companies will be allowed to enter Sensex and Nifty. Companies which make good profit, have good track record, have big equity, free float will enter the index. In case, one or two companies do not perform, the other 28 companies are likely to do well - out of 30 companies in Sensex.

So, investors who don’t feel confident about the stock market are better off via investing in Sensex / Nifty funds or ETF. This will ensure that their investment will keep growing passively over a period of time in a similar way of Sensex Journey, from 100 levels in 1979 to over 50000 levels in 2021.

Stock Markets Today

Earlier today, Nifty opened in the green and witnessed volatile trading on account of the RBI’s monetary policy announcement. It touched the psychological mark of 15000, registering an all-time high of 15014.65. Currently, it is trading up ~60 points. On the hourly charts we can observe that Nifty has been steadily inching higher in an upward sloping channel. The Nifty can continue to inch higher however the rise may be slow and steady with minor degree corrections. The hourly momentum indicator has a negative crossover, which is a cause of concern. In terms of levels, 15020-15050 shall act as immediate resistance zone, while 14850-14820 shall act as a support zone for the Nifty.

On the hourly chart, the Nifty is trading above the 20-hour moving average (HMA) and the 40-HEMA, of 14810 and 14584, respectively. The hourly momentum indicator has a negative crossover. Market breadth is negative with 858 advances and 951 declines on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
