Vedanta Dividend Record Date 2023, Vedanta Share Price NSE: Shares of mining company Vedanta Limited, NSE: VEDL, cracked 5 per cent during Friday's trade as they turned ex-dividend. The company has announced to pay a whopping 1,250 per cent interim dividend to its investors for the financial year 2022-23. The counter quoted Rs 310 apiece on NSE around 1 PM. Vedanta had last month declared to pay Rs 12.50 interim dividend per equity share to its investors.

"The Board of Directors of the Company has approved the Fourth Interim Dividend of Rs 12.50 per equity share i.e. 1250% on face value of Re. 1/‐ per share for the financial year 2022‐23 amounting to c. ₹ 4,647 Crores," the company's exchange filing said.

Vedanta has fixed February 4, Saturday, as the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for the payment of the dividend. A dividend is one of the corporate actions. A stock dividend is an amount that is paid in cash to shareholders by a listed company. The stock dividend is basically rewarding shareholders without reducing the cash balance of the company.

Vedanta Dividend 2023 Payout Date

The dividend amount will be credited directly into the shareholders' bank account linked to their Demat account on the payment date.

"The interim dividend will be paid within the stipulated timelines as prescribed under the law," the company's exchange filing read.
