Share Market Updates Today, December 6: Overnight, Wall Street settled on a lower note. Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 482.78 points, or 1.4 per cent, to close at 33,947.1, the S&P 500 lost 72.86 points, or 1.79 per cent, to end at 3,998.84, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 221.56 points, or 1.93 per cent, to finish on 11,239.94.
Share Market Updates Today, December 6: Indian stock market is expected to open on a lower note today, December 6, tracking weak global cues. Asian markets were down in early deals as US markets ended Monday's session lower following better-than-expected data from the services sector spooked investors about the rate hike by the Federal Reserve. While Japan traded higher 0.13 per cent, South Korea's Kospi and China's Shanghai Composite declined nearly 0.50 per cent and 0.40 per cent, respectively. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index also slipped 1.13 per cent. SGX Nifty, an early indicator of sentiment on the NSE Nifty50, was down by over 54 points, or 0.29 per cent, at 18,755, at 8:15 AM.

Earlier on Monday, benchmark BSE Sensex fell for the second straight session in a volatile trade due to profit taking in oil, IT and auto stocks ahead of the RBI policy announcement on December 7. The 30-share BSE benchmark dipped 33.9 points or 0.05 per cent to settle at 62,834.60. During the day, it fell 360.62 points or 0.57 per cent to 62,507.88. The broader NSE Nifty eked out marginal gains and ended 4.95 points or 0.03 per cent higher at 18,701.05. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) turned net seller on Monday as they sold shares worth Rs 1,139.07 crore, as per exchange data.
