Based on the stock selection criteria as prescribed by SEBI, as many as seven stocks or securities will be added to the Futures & Options (F&O) segment. The additional securities would be available for trading w.e.f. December 31, 2021, subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria of Quarter sigma computation cycle of October 2021, a circular from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) read.

These stocks are Balrampur Chini Mills Limited, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited, Hindustan Copper Limited, NBCC (India) Limited, Rain Industries Limited, Supreme Industries Limited and Tata Communications Limited

"Members are advised to note that based on the stock selection criteria as prescribed by SEBI dated December 16, 2016, SEBI circular dated April 11, 2018 and approval received from SEBI, members are hereby notified that the futures and options contracts on following 7 additional securities would be available for trading w.e.f. December 31, 2021, subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria of Quarter sigma computation cycle of December 2021," said the NSE cricular.  

In November 30, 2021, communication, the exchange (NSE) said that the market lot, scheme of strikes and quantity freeze limit of the said securities shall be informed to members on December 30, 2021 through a separate circular. 

Earlier, the exchange has added eight stocks—Atul, Birlasoft Ltd, Chambal Fertilizers Ltd, Firstsource Solutions Ltd, Gujarat State Petronet Ltd, Laurus Labs Ltd, SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd and Whirlpool of India Ltd — to the Futures & Options (F&O) segment w.e.f. October 29, 2021.  

Prior to that, the NSE has also introduced another eight stocks to the F&O segment and these securities were made available for trading with effect from October 01, 2021. The securities names were Abbott India Limited, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited, Dalmia Bharat Limited, Delta Corp Limited, The India Cements Limited, JK Cement Limited, Oberoi Realty Limited and Persistent Systems Limited.
