Barring FMCG and media, most of the sectoral indices traded in tandem with the benchmark indices and ended lower by around 1 per cent. Financials saw selling pressure, IndusInd Bank being the top loser – down 3 per cent. While Britannia, HUL, ITC, and Apollo Hospitals gain in a volatile session on Wednesday.
The US indices such as Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq each closed over 1.5 per cent lower on Wednesday, a ripple effect was visible in Asian markets on Thursday as most of them were in the red during early morning trade.
