The selling pressure was widespread and all the sectoral indices, barring IT, ended deep in the red. The broader indices also traded in tandem with the trend and lost over 3 per cent each on Monday.
The US indices such as Dow Jones, and S&P 500 each closed over 1 per cent lower on Monday, while Asian markets on Tuesday traded mixed with Japan’s Nikkei surging nearly 1 per cent in early trade.
