Stocks in News Today, December 19: Stock markets are likely to start in green on Monday i.e. December 19 as SGX Nifty - an early indicator of sentiment on the NSE Nifty50 - was up by over 50 points, 0.28 per cent, to trade at 18,368. However, Asian markets traded mixed with Hong Kong's Hang Seng gaining over 116 points, or 0.50 per cent and Japan's Nikkei 225 losing 298 points, or 1.08 per cent, in early trade. China's Shanghai SE Composite Index was down by over 20 points. Here are some of the stocks that will be in news today.

Sun Pharma: Halol facility of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has received a warning letter from the USFDA regarding the inspection conducted from 26 April 2022 to 9 May 2022. The warning letter summarizes violations with respect to current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) regulations. 

Tata Motors: Tata Motors, India's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer on Friday announced that Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has signed a definitive agreement with its fully owned subsidiary, TML Smart City Mobility Mobility Solutions Ltd. for the operation of 921 electric buses in the capital city of Karnataka.

Tech Mahindra: The IT company has said that it had approved the sale of its 100 per cent stake in wholly-owned subsidiary Dynacommerce Holdings BV to Comviva Netherlands BV, its step-down subsidiary, at a valuation of €6.6 million.

Mastek Ltd: The engineering and cloud transformation service provider has made a strategic investment in VolteoEdge, a SaaS company with an enterprise-ready Edge Intelligence Platform that enables secure IoT workflows and makes business workflows smarter.  

Sapphire Foods India Ltd: Mirae Asset has increased its stake in Sapphire Foods. The stake has been increased from 2.55 per cent to 5.70 per cent. This was done on December 15 via the open market.
