The benchmark indices surged for a third consecutive session on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, as the euphoria surrounding the Union Budget continued. S&P BSE Sensex soared 458.03 points or 0.92% at 50,255.75. The Nifty 50 index surged 142.10 points or 0.97% at 14,789.95. Both the indices attained record closing high levels. But certain stocks came in news after the market was closed. These stocks can impact the indices when it reopens on Thursday, February 4, 2021. List of such five stocks:

Brookfield India Real Estate Trust IPO Update: The Rs 3,800 crore initial public offering (IPO) of Brookfield India Real Estate Trust (REIT) was subscribed 15% on the first day of subscription, i.e. on February 3, 2021. The QIB quota was subscribed 3% and the NII portion saw 26% subscription. The company has fixed a price band of Rs 274-275 per equity share.

Today is the second day for the subscription of the public issue, which will close on February 5, 2021. Investors can bid for a minimum 200 units and in multiples of 200 units thereafter, hence, the minimum application size by retail investors would be Rs 55,000 at higher price band.

Bharti Airtel + Apollo Tyres

Bharti Airtel: Bharti Airtel on Wednesday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 853 crore for the quarter ended December 2020 as against a consolidated net loss of Rs 763.2 crore in the previous quarter. The company’s consolidated revenues in the quarter grew 5.8% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 26,518 crore against Rs 25,060 crore posted in September quarter. EBITDA stood at Rs 12,178 crore, up 8.2%, from, Rs 11,259 crore of previous fiscal. The margin grew to 45.9% in Q3FY21 from 44.9% reported in Q2FY21. The average revenue per user (ARPU) went up by 2.5% to Rs 166 in Q3FY21 from Rs 162 in Q2FY21. The company has reported an exceptional loss of Rs 4,560 crore due to AGR provisioning. Profit from deemed disposal on account of the loss of control over Indus Towers stood at Rs 9,810 crore. India business witnessed the highest ever quarterly revenues of Rs 19,007 crore. Plus, the company has seen the highest ever customer additions of 215K in the homes business in Q3FY21.

Apollo Tyres: The Indian tyre manufacturing company's consolidated profit zoomed 155.2% year-on-year at Rs 444 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2020. It had posted a net profit of Rs 174 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Consolidated revenue grew 17.1% YoY to Rs 5,154 crore in the quarter under observation against Rs 4,400 crore reported last year. EBITDA stood at Rs 989 crore, up 85.6%, from Rs 533 crore. The margin grew to 19.2% in Q3FY21 from 12.1% posted in Q3FY20. 

Hindalco: Novelis Inc., the world leader in aluminium rolling and recycling, has reported a 65% year-on-year rise in profit at $177 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2020. It had reported a net profit of $107 million in the corresponding quarter last year. Atlanta-based aluminium roller's revenue grew 19.4% to $ 3,241 million in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2021 against $2,715 million reported last year. EBITDA stood at $501 million, up 46%, from $343 million. EBITDA per ton went up 25% to $537 million against $430 million. The company in a statement said, it has Focus on deleveraging resulted in net leverage ratio improvement to 3.3x from 3.8x at acquisition close. 

BSE, CDSL in focus: More than one crore new DEMAT accounts are likely to be opened, sources aware about the development informed Zee Business. LIC policyholders may get a 10% reservation in the IPO. There are around 4.5 crore DEMAT accounts are there at present. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the budget presentation on February 1, 2021, announced the plan to launch an IPO of LIC. More than 25 lakh LIC policyholders are present in India.

PVR:  Societe Generale - ODI bought 10 lakh shares (1.81%) at Rs 1,520 per share. Berry Creek Investment sold 9.60 lakh shares (1.74%) at Rs 1,520.09 per share. Gray Birch Investment sold 9.72 lakh shares (1.76%) at Rs 1,520 per share. 

Neuland Laboratories:  Rohinton Soli Screwvala sold 86,170 shares (0.67%) at Rs 1,480.6 per share.
