The equity benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty, recovered more than 1% on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, amid mixed cues from the global equity markets. The S&P BSE Sensex climbed 612 points, or 1.09%, to close at 56,931. The NSE Nifty also rose 185 points, or 1.10%, to end at 16,955. But certain stocks came in the news after the market was closed. Listing + IPO Update: MedPlus Health Listing + CMS Info Systems IPO 

MedPlus Health IPO Listing: Shares of MedPlus Health, a pharmacy retailer, will debut on the bourses, NSE & BSE, today, i.e., December 23, 2021. The shares were allocated an issue price of Rs 796 per share. The initial public offering (IPO) of MedPlus Health Services Limited closed with 52.59 times subscription on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) was subscribed 111.9 times while the Non-Institutional Investors (NII) and Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) portions were subscribed 85.33 times and 5.24 times, respectively. The portion reserved for employees was subscribed 3.05 times. The company had fixed a price range of Rs 780-796 per equity share as it has plans to raise up to Rs 1,398 crore from the primary market. The pubic issue of the pharmacy retailer consists of the issuance of fresh equity shares worth Rs 600 crore while and an offer for sale (OFS) of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 798 crore by the promoter and existing shareholders. 

CMS Info Systems IPO: The initial public offering (IPO) of CMS Info Systems Limited, India's largest cash management company in terms of the number of ATM points and retail pick-up points, was subscribed 0.66 times on Wednesday, the second day for bidding for the issue. The Non-Institutional Investors (NII) and Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) portions were subscribed 0.04 times and 1.03 times, respectively. Bidding for the CMS Info Systems IPO will end today. The company seeks to raise Rs 1,100 crore from the initial public offer and the initial share is entirely an offer for sale (OFS) by the promoters and existing shareholders. The shares of the company will be available for bidding in a price band of Rs 205-216 per share. Retail investors can bid for the public offer for a minimum of 69 equity shares, and in multiples thereof up to 13 lots. At the upper end of the price range, one lot is valued at Rs 14,904 and 13 lots worth Rs 1,93,752.

ZEEL Concall: The merger between Zee Entertainment and Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) that was announced on Wednesday will take at least 8 months to close. There will be a 6-8% revenue synergy in the first joint financial year itself. The merged entity will accelerate its digital platform and significantly invest in premium content including sports. The company will be aggressive in sports acquisitions independently and as the combined entity wise. The cash will be utilised for multiple aspects like M&A and bidding for sports content among others. The company will use the cash as growth capital for the next 3 to 5 years. Sony's music and movies business will remain out of the merged entity. Promoters of Sony will invest an additional $300 million in the new company before the deal closes. Sony will invest $1.5 billion in the merged company. After the merger, shares of Zee Entertainment's will be suspended for about three weeks after which the stock will be relisted. The merged company will consider OTT-business further. The company will continue to be dividend-paying. 

Tarsons Products Ltd: The mandatory lock-in period of 30 days for anchor investors ends today. Anchor book stands at Rs 306 crore. 

GAIL: The Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to meet today to consider the recommendation for payment of Interim Dividend for FY 2021-22. For payment of Interim Dividend, if so approved by the Board, the "Record Date" will be Friday, December 31, 2021. 

Indiabulls Real Estate: The Board of the Company on Wednesday approved the raising of funds aggregating upto Rs 1500 crore to augment the long-term resources of the Company and to maintain sufficient liquidity for meeting funding requirements for business activities, existing & new projects & future business growth.

Hotels + Restaurants + Liquor Stocks: Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has issued an order banning all cultural events and gatherings for Christmas and New Year celebrations in the national capital in view of rising cases of new Covid variant- Omicron. Bars and restaurants will be allowed to open at only half (50%) the capacity on the occasion. 

Kotak Mahindra Bank: Kotak Mahindra Prime Limited, a subsidiary of Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited on Wednesday announced that it has acquired the passenger vehicle finance portfolio of Ford Credit India Private Limited (FCIPL). The acquisition gives Kotak Prime access to over 16,000 high-quality customers with a total loan outstanding of Rs 425 crore. FCIPL is the Indian captive financing arm of Ford Motor Company, which has been operating in India since 2015.

Adani Ports: Government has announced new tariff guidelines for public-private partnership projects (PPP) in major ports, aiming to make them more competitive and market-friendly. Under the new regime, private concessionaires at major ports will be able to charge tariffs as per market conditions. These new guidelines will be applicable for future PPP projects, including the projects which are currently under the bidding stage. According to an official statement, in the new Act, the provision of the erstwhile Tariff Authority for Major Ports (TAMP) stands abolished. The fresh guidelines are part of the new Major Port Authority Act 2021, which came into effect last month on November 3, 2021.

Tata Motors: Tata Motors Limited ('the Company') has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, viz., Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML). TPEML has been incorporated to manufacture, design, develop all kinds of services related to electric vehicles/electric mobility, hybrid electric vehicles of all kinds.
