Stock Market Opening Bell Today: Continueing its rising spree, the Indian share market opened on the historic higher note on Thursday. The BSE Sensex climbed 50,000 levels for the first time in the Indian stock market history. The BSE sensitive index shot up 296 points and hit 50,088 levels while the NSE Nifty rose 84 points and touched 14,728 levels in the opening bell today.

Shares of Gateway Distriparks, JK Tyre & Industries, Havells India, Majesco and Future retail were among the major gainers in the opening bell today while shares of Tata Elxsi, Tata Metaliks, HDFC AMC and Apollo Pipes were amomg the major losers in the early morning trade session.

Speaking on the current market scenario SEBI registered technical equity analyst Simi Bhaumik said, "Overall the market is bullish and any dip in the market from now should be seen as a buying opportunity. Banking and financials and IT sectors need to be watched out for as these sectors are expecteed to further pick up mometum and fuel the stock market rally."

Energy stocks were among the leading gainers in the opening bell today as the index shot up around 1.90 per cent. Energy major Reliance Industries share price rose over 2 per cent, Petronet LNG added over 1 per cent, Aegis Logistics went up around 0.97 per cent while ONGC went northward 0.66 per cent.

Auto stocks also witnessed some buying pressure as the BSE Auto index rose around 1 per cent today. Auto major Tata Motors share price went northward around 3.7 per cent, Ashok Leyland shares went up 1.15 per cent, Bajaj Auto stocks went up 1.55 per cent, Eicher Motors counter added 1.70 per cent while shares of Hero MotoCorp scaled 1.07 per cent in the opening bell today.
