Stock Market Holidays: The Indian share market will remain closed today on the occasion of Diwali 2019 celebrations across nation. Therefore, trading at Dalal Street at Sensex, Nifty, Bank Nifty and other Indian indices will remain suspended. Trading will commence from October 29th at its usual time means pre-opening session at 9:00 AM and Opening Session at 9:15 AM.

After Diwali on October 28th, the Indian stock market will be closed on two more days in this calendar year. Those two days are 12 November 2019 when the nation would be celebrating Gurunanak Jayanti and 25th December 2019 on the occasion of Christmas.

On October 27th during Muhurat Trading Session, the Indian indices showed a very good start. It was a broad-based rally and advance-decline was very good. Mid-cap stocks also participated in the moment. Auto stocks remained the torchbearers. The BSE Sensex shot up 192 points to 39,250 levels while the Nifty-50 index rose 43 points to 11,627 levels. Bank Nifty index added 120 points after closing at 29,516 levels.
