According to the stock market holidays 2021 list, trading at Equity Segment, Equity Derivative Segment, SLB Segment, Currency Derivatives Segment and Interest Rate Derivatives segment, New Debt Segment and Commodity Derivatives Segment will remain suspended today to celebrate the Republic Day.

After Republic Day, the next stock market holiday 2021 will fall on 11th March 2021 for Mahashivratri festival. After Shivratri, the next stock market holiday falls on 29th March 2021 for Holi festival. In the following month April, there will be three stock market holidays — 2nd April (Good Friday, 14th April (Dr BR Ambedkar Jayanti) and 21st April (Ramnavmi).

On Monday, the BSE Sensex shed 530 points and closed at 48,347 levels while the NSE Nifty crashed 133 points after closing at 14,238.90 mark. Energy major and Sensex heavyweight Reliance Industries share price crashed to the tune of 5.58 per cent, indusInd Bank shares dipped 5.52 per cent, Tata Motors stock price nose-dived 3.68 per cent while HCL Tech scrip went off 3.83 per cent. However, stock market experts are of the opinion that profit-booking in the Indian share market was long-awaited and overall, the market sentiment is highly bullish. In fact, some of the bulls of Indian stock market — that includes Rakesh Jhunjhunwala too — are of the opinion that the next four to five years of the market sentiment is highly positive and bulls have many opportunities to make money in this period.
