Stock market holidays in April: Indian stock market is closed today (April 2). The share market will remain closed for equity segment, equity derivative segment and SLB Segment on account of Good Friday on April 2, said BSE trading Holidays 2021 list. The markets will reopen on Monday, April 5. This will give investors extended weekend combined with the weekly offs on Saturday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, as per BSE Trading Holidays 2021 list, the share market will remain closed for two more days. The share market will be closed on April 14 on the occasion of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti and one more day on April 21, when Ram Navami will be celebrated across country.

As per BSE Trading Holidays calendar, the stock market will remain closed for 14 days in total in 2021. 

Earlier, traders and investors also witnessed shortened trading days this week, when the share market remained closed on March 29 on account of Holi.  

Meanwhile, the indices ended Thursday on good note with Nifty gaining 176 points and Sensex adding 520 points to give a closing of 14,867 points and 50,029 points respectively. The last trading session also saw Sensex reclaiming 50,000 points.
