The domestic stocks markets were trading nearly a half per cent loss on Wednesday’s noon deals, amid weakness in metals stocks. At 1:13 pm, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading at a loss of 241.63 points or 0.46% at 52,531.42. The Nifty 50 index was trading 81.15 points or 0.51% low at 15,788.10. Meanwhile, certain stocks were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Here is a list of few such stocks:

IPO Updates: 

Shyam Metalics: The initial public offering (IPO) of Shyam Metalics & Energy was subscribed 6.59 times by 12:15 pm on the third day of subscription. Shyam Metalics seeks to raise up to Rs 909 crore through the issue. The price band of the issue has been fixed at Rs 303-306 per share. The subscription will close today, i.e. on June 16, 2021.

Sona Comstar: The initial public offering of auto component marker Sona BLW Precision Forgings (Sona Constar) was subscribed 0.63 times by 12:15 pm on the third day of subscription. The company seeks to raise up to Rs 5,550 crore the issue. The price band of the issue has been fixed at Rs 285-291 per share. The subscription will close today, i.e. on June 16, 2021.

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences: The initial public offering (IPO) of Krishna Institute of Medical Science Ltd.’s (KIMS Hospitals) was subscribed 0.06 times by 12:15 pm on the first day of subscription. KIMS seeks to raise up to Rs 2,143 crore through the public offer. The price band for the offer has been fixed at Rs 815-825 per equity share. The public issue will open for subscription on Wednesday till June 18, 2021.

Dodla Dairy: The initial public offering (IPO) of Dodla Dairy was subscribed 0.46 times by 12:15 pm on the first day of subscription. The integrated dairy company seeks to raise Rs 520 crore through the public offer. The price band has been fixed at Rs 421-428 per equity share. The public issue will open for subscription on Wednesday till June 18, 2021.

KEC International: Up 2.10%. The global infrastructure EPC major, an RPG Group Company, has secured new orders of Rs. 937 crores across its various businesses, namely Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Railways, Civil and Cables. 

RITES:  Up 1.17%. RITES Limited has emerged as the Lowest Bidder for a tender called by Railway Board, Ministry of Railways for railway electrification work on a turnkey basis. The tender for two packages, package — 1 for 779 RKM on Southern Western Railway and package - 2 for 762 RKM on Northeast Frontier railways, will aggregate to Rs 1741 crores.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories: Up 0.49%. Dr Reddy’s on Tuesday said it has been asked to pay Rs 345 crore to Australia-based Hatchtech Pty Ltd as part of an asset purchase agreement between the two parties in 2015. The company has received an arbitration award issued by the US-based International Center for Dispute Resolution. The Company is exploring all legal options to challenge the award. 

Jubilant Pharmova: Down 0.02%. Drug firm Jubilant Pharmova has said that its subsidiary Jubilant HollisterStier LLC has inked a pact with US-based Ocugen Inc to manufacture COVID-19 vaccine Covaxin for the US and Canadian markets.

Sinclairs Hotels: Down 0.69%. It said that five properties of Sinclairs Hotels to resume operations effective from today, i.e. on June 16, 2021. Only vaccinated staff on duty at all properties at Siliguri, Dooars, Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Burdwan will resume limited operations. 

Alembic Pharma: UP 1.53%. The company's joint venture, Aleor Dermaceuticals Limited has received US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) Final Approval for Testosterone Topical Solution USP, 30 mg per pump actuation.

Earnings Impact 

LIC Housing Finance: Down 3.26%. The mortgage loan company has reported a 4% YoY decline in the standalone profit at Rs 399 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a profit of Rs 421 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. It had declared a dividend of Rs 8.50 per share. The board has also approved the issuance of a Rs 4.54 crore preferential share to promoter LIC. 

BLS International: Up 4.04%. The IT service management company has reported a 161.1% YoY jump in the consolidated profit at Rs 23.5 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a profit of Rs 9 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Jubilant Food: UP 2.85%. Earlier, it hit the life high of 3,332.70 in the intraday trade today. 

BASF: Up 8.15%. Earlier, it hit the life high of 2,797 in the intraday trade today.

ICICI Securities: Down 0.55%. Earlier, it hit the life high of 678.70 in the intraday trade today.

Pitti Engineering: Up 9.97%.It was suggested today at Zee Business in the My Choice segment of Traders Dairy show. 

Godrej Agrovet: Up 3.22%. It was suggested today at Zee Business in its My Choice segment of Traders Dairy. It was also the SIP stocks on May 17, 2021, at 529. 

Auto Stocks: Down. The Nifty Auto index was trading at a loss of 0.33%. Stocks like Eicher Motor – down 0.94%, Maruti – down 0.84%, TVS Motor – down 0.71%, Tata Motors – down 0.55%, Hero MotoCorp – down 0.53%, Bajaj Auto – down 0.47% among others were trading at a loss.  

Metal Stocks: Under pressure. The Nifty Metal index was trading at a loss of 2.04%. Stocks like Hindalco – down 2.60%, Vedanta – down 2.23%, JSW Steel – down 2.03%, Tata Steel – down 2.61% and SAIL – down 3.35% among others were trading at a loss. 

Shipping Stocks: Buzzing. Stocks like SCI – up 1.81%, GE Shipping – up 1.51% were trading with gain. 

Adani Group Stocks: All Adani Group stocks are trading in the red. Stocks like Adani Port – down 4.19%, Adani Power - down 4.97%, Adani Total Gas – down 5%, Adani Transmission – down 5% among others were trading at low.  

Dhunseri Tea: Up 7.18%. 

New India Assurance: Up 4.94%. 

GIC: Up 2.54%. 

CRISIL: Up 0.98%.
