SEBI launches mobile app Saa,thi to provide financial product information to investors

The app was unveiled by SEBI Chairman Ajay Tyagi, which will provide all financial product information and will also prove to be effective due to the increasing trading through mobile apps, the release is further read.
This mobile app is yet another initiative of SEBI to empower investors with knowledge about the securities market, Tyagi said in his comment while launching the application.
“A large proportion of trading being mobile phone-based, this app will be helpful in easily accessing the relevant information with the surge in individual investors entering the market,” he added.
The mobile app aims to create awareness among the investors about the basic concepts of the Securities Market, KYC Process, trading and settlement, mutual funds, recent market developments, investor grievances redressal mechanism, among others.
Moreover, the application is multilingual, mainly available in Hindi and English. And, the app is also be made available for both the Android and iOS version devices, which could be downloaded from Play Store and App Store respectively.
Before concluding, SEBI Chairman also exhorted the need for continuous updating of app contents and will be making the app available in regional languages going forward.
The market regulator is continuously making efforts to safeguard the interests of not only investors but also ensuring level playing field for the companies listed on exchanges.
