Equity indices were trading with modest gains at 12:14 noon. The S&P BSE Sensex was trading 293.46 points or 0.58% high at 50,907.75 and Nifty 50 was trading 82.65 points or 0.55% up at 14,978.30. SBI surged 12.59% high was the top Nifty 50 gainer, followed by Kotak Bank (up 4.09%), ITC (up 3.70%), Tata Steel (up 3.43%) and NTPC (up 2.62%). Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India kept the repo rate unchanged at 4 per cent while the stance remained 'accommodative'. Besides, the RBI projected GDP growth of 10.5 per cent in FY22 for India while the projection for CPI-based inflation was revised to 5.2 per cent for Q4FY21.

However, there are certain stocks which were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Here is a list of few such stocks:

SBI (up 12.59%): The stocks of State Bank of India (SBI) zoomed and hit a circuit as it has reported a solid set of numbers for the quarter ended December 2020 (Q3FY21). Besides, shares of other public sector banks (PSBs) were on a roll-on Friday after sector giant State Bank of India (SBI) its numbers. Besides, the government's proposal to privatize two PSU banks in the financial year 2021-22 (FY22) also fuelled a rally in these stocks.

ITC (up 3.37%): Stocks of ITC were trading higher as its board has decided to meet on February 11, 2021, to consider interim dividend.

Stove Kraft (down -7.27%): The stocks of newly listed Stove Kraft was trading 7% lower. However, the kitchen appliance maker today got listed at Rs 498, up 29.35 per cent, from the issue price on NSE. On BSE, the stock debuted at Rs 467, a premium of 21.30 per cent over the issue price.

Brookfield REIT IPO Update: The Rs 3,800 crore initial public offering (IPO) of Brookfield India Real Estate Trust (REIT) was subscribed 1.42 times at noon on the third day of subscription, i.e. on February 5, 2021. The company has fixed a price band of Rs 274-275 per equity share.

Home First Finance Company India Limited (down 1.53%): The stocks of Home First Finance, Indigo Paints, was trading lower.

Indigo Paints Limited (down 6.27%): The stocks of Indigo Paints, which listed itself on the bourses this week, was trading lower.

Godrej Properties Ltd (up 4.90%): Stocks of Godrej Properties zoomed after the management commentary that came after the results were declared.

Results Previews 

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (0.046%): The company's stocks were flat as the company is scheduled to announce its Q3FY21 earnings today.
Britannia Industries Ltd (1.10%): The company's stocks were trading around 1% lower as the company is scheduled to announce its Q3FY21 earnings today and it is expected that bottom-line earnings may come under pressure owing to weaker sales on a quarterly basis and increase in input costs.
