Billionaire investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala’s portfolio has surged by over 87 per cent year-on-year (YoY) during the March 2022 quarter to Rs 31,396.7 crore, as per the latest corporate shareholding pattern. He along with his wife Rekha Jhunjhunwala and associates hold 34 stocks in the portfolio.

The ace investor during the same period a year ago had held around 37 stocks with a net worth of over Rs 16,727.2 crore, according to the stock analysis website trendlyne.com. In worth, his portfolio has gone up by a whopping Rs 14500 crore in a year. 

The leap in his portfolio's worth has been mainly amid the listing of Star Health and Allied Insurance and Metro Brands Limited. The ace investor is one of the minority stakeholders in these companies, with 17.5 and 14.4 per cent holding, respectively. 

In the March 2022 quarter, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, who is also called as Big Bull of the Indian stock markets, has added extra shares in Jubilant Pharmova, Canara Bank, and Indiabulls Housing Finance Limited, whereas he trimmed stakes mainly in Aptech, Wockhardt and TV18 Broadcast. 

In the December 2021 quarter, Star Health and Metro Brands were the two top stocks that got added during the quarter. While the investor added state-owned companies National Aluminum Company and Canara Bank during the September 2021 quarter. 

While in June 2021 quarter the investor added Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) shares by picking a 1.4 per cent stake, he picked extra shares during the September 2021 quarter, by adding 0.4 per cent stakes. However, trimmed it ins December, and now it’s below 1 per cent during March.  

Besides Star Health and Metro Brands, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has two Tata Group stocks – Titan Company and Tata Motors with maximum weightage in terms of value. In both these stocks, the ace investor has been stayed put during the March 2022 quarter.
