According to Trendlyne, RK Damani, who is a veteran share market investor, holds as many as 14 stocks in his portfolio, including his own retail company Avenue Supermarts, under the name DMart.

Damani apparently has bought fresh shares in his personal capacity during the second quarter, as his name wasn’t seen in the individual shareholders' list for April to June 2021 quarter.

However, Damani has been one of the key investors in VST Industries for a long time as he has made investments in this company through his firm called Bright Star Investments Private Ltd.

And, Bright Star Investments Private Limited, as per the September shareholding pattern of VST Industries, holds at least 401,07,118 shares or a 25.95 per cent stake in the company.

VST Industries has been one of the favourite stocks of Damani, and has been increasing the stakes in the company gradually almost every quarter through his Bright Star investment firm and now in a personal capacity.

Besides VST Industries, Damani holds Trent, Sundaram Finance, India Cements among other key stocks in the portfolio.

On the back of Damani picking up stakes in his personal capacity, the share price jumped over 5 per cent on the BSE intraday trade today, eventually to end over 3 per cent higher to Rs 3747.95 per share on the BSE, as compared to 0.94 per cent rise in the S&P BSE Sensex.
