The domestic stocks markets were trading with modest gains in the early afternoon trade on Monday. At 12:40 pm, S&P BSE Sensex was trading 92.61 points or 0.18% higher at 52,192.66. The Nifty 50 index was trading 54.95 points or 0.35% higher at 15,725.20. Meanwhile, certain stocks were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Earnings Impact 

PNB: Down 2.20%. The public sector bank has reported a 16% QoQ rise in the profit at Rs 586 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. The lender had reported a profit of Rs 506 crore in the previous quarter ended December 31, 2021. 

InterGlobe Aviation: Up 0.42%. The domestic budget carrier InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) has posted a consolidated quarter-on-quarter loss of Rs 1,147 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a loss of Rs 620 crore in the previous quarter ended December 31, 2020. 

IOL Chemicals: Down 4.90%. IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals has reported a 16.6% YoY drop in the profit to Rs 75.25 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a profit of Rs 90.26 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. 

Jubilant Pharma: Down 5.65% The pharma company has reported an 18.6% YoY decline in the consolidated profit at Rs 172.7 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a profit of Rs 212.3 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Gufic Biosciences: Down 2.07%. The pharmaceutical company has reported a 158% YoY jump in the profit at Rs 12.9 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a profit of Rs 5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Revenues grew 51.4% to Rs 131.9 crore compared to Rs 87.1 crore posted last year. The EBITDA grew 91.5% to Rs 23,75 crore compared to Rs 12.4 crore posted last year. The margins improved to 18% in Q4FY21 compared to 14.2% posted in Q4FY20. Board recommends a dividend of Re 0.1 per share. 

MOIL: Buzzing and trading 6.14% higher. The mini-Ratna state-owned manganese ore mining company has reported 8.6 times YoY rise in the profit at Rs 1116 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a profit of Rs 13.5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. 

VA Tech Wabag: Buzzing and trading 4.17% higher. The company has reported a 57% YoY rise in the consolidated profit at Rs 47 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a profit of Rs 30 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Kalpataru Power: Up 1.05%. The power transmission company has reported a 461% YoY rise in the consolidated profit at Rs 174 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a profit of Rs 31 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. 

IFGL Refractories: Bearish and trading with a fall of 5.04%. The manufacturer of Specialised Refractories and requisite Operating Systems for the Iron and Steel Industry has reported a consolidated YoY loss of Rs 2.5 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a loss of Rs 14 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Stocks like Dwarikesh Sugar – hit 10% upper circuit and trading 11.44% higher, Shree Renuka Sugars – up 9.79% near 10% upper circuit, Balrampur Chini – up 6.66%, Dhampur Sugar – up 7.15%, among others were trading with gains. 

Lupin: Down 0.16%. The pharma major has launched the Digital Asthma Educator platform. 

Fineotex Chemical: Moving and trading 3.06% higher. The global giant of specialty chemicals has appointed Arindam Choudhuri as its Chief Executive Officer. 

United Breweries: Up 1.52%. ED transfers 4.13 crore shares (15.6% equity) held by it to DRT.
