Indian markets recovered from the morning losses and were trading with a gain of around 0.30% in Tuesday's noon deals. At 1:03 pm, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading 173.31 points or 0.29% higher at 59,472.63. The Nifty 50 index was trading 58.10 points or 0.33% up at 17,749.35. Meanwhile, certain stocks were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Here is a list of few such stocks:

Buzzing Stocks

Oil & Gas Stocks: Moving up. Stocks like ONGC - up 7.76%; Oil India - up 2.07%; IOC - up 2.85%; HPCL - up 2.94 and HOEC - up 2.80% were trading with gains. 

Power Stocks: Moving up. Stocks like Tata Power - up 8.78%; Adani Transmission - up 3.61%; BHEL - up 1.45% ; Adani Power - up 4.96% and NTPC - up 1.03% were trading with gains. 

Metal Stocks: Moving up. Stocks like Vedanta - up 2.63%; Hindustan Zinc - up 1.39%; Adani Enterprises - up 1.18%; Jindal Steel - up 0.84% and JSW Steel - up 0.59% were trading with gains.

Telecom Stocks: Bharti Airtel - up 2.09%; Vodafone Idea - up 4.82%; Indus Towers - up 1.54% were trading with gains. Bharti Airtel is likely to make a big announcement on 5G in a press conference at 1:00 pm today, sources. It is may announce 5G with Ericsson at a press conference. There may be big announcements on the 5G partnership, trial. A year ago both the companies had partnered. Besides, Bharti Airtel's Rs 21,000-crore rights issue opens today i.e. October 5. The rights shares will be issued at Rs 535 per fully paid-up share, including a face value of Rs 5 and a premium of Rs 530 per share. The rights issue will close on October 21 and up to 392,287,662 shares will be offered under the aegis of the rights issue.

Hindustan Zinc: Up 1.39%. The company in its production release for the Q2FY22 said, Mined metal production for Q2FY22 was 2,48,000 tonnes, up 4% as compared to Q2 FY21 on account of higher ore production at Rampura Agucha, Sindesar Khurd & Zawar mines supported by improvement in recovery, which has been partly offset by Lower Mining Grades. In comparison to Q1 FY22, it is up by 12%, mainly due to Higher ore production at Sindesar Khurd and improvement in Mining Grade & recovery. Integrated metal production was 209,000 tonnes for Q2FY22, down 12% as compared to both Q2FY21 & Q1FY22 on account of an extended shutdown at one of the roasters at Chanderiya Smelter for Repairs & overhaul of Structural components. Integrated zinc production was 162,000 tonnes, down 10% as compared to Q2FY21 and down by 14% as compared to Q1FY22. Integrated lead production was 47,000 tonnes for Q2FY22, down 18% as compared to Q2 FY21 on account of the Annual Shutdown at Dariba Lead Smelters and down 4% as compared to Q1FY22. Integrated saleable silver production was 4.9 moz (152 MT), down 25% as compared to Q2 FY21 in line with lead production & depletion of WIP in Q2 FY’21 & down 5% as compared to Q1 FY22.

Vedanta: Up 2.63%. The company in its production release for Q2FY22 said the cast metal aluminium production (including trial run) at its smelters stood at 5,70,000 tonnes in Q2FY22, higher 4% as compared to Q1FY22 and 21% in comparison to Q2 FY21 mainly due to ramp-up of pots. Alumina production stood at 5,11,000 tonnes in Q2 FY22, 6% higher as compared to Q1FY22 and 11% higher as compared to Q2FY21. PVR (up 0.57%)/Nazara Technologies (up 1.36%)): Multiplex operator PVR has signed an agreement with gaming company Nazara Technologies' NODWIN Gaming to screen live in-cinema e-sports tournaments. 

Gokaldas Exports: Up 3.41%. The company launched its qualified institutional placement issue on October 4, 2021. The floor price has been fixed at Rs 194.58 per share, a discount of 5% on the current market price of Rs 214 per share. Besides, the Fund Raise Committee of the board of the directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on October 7, 2021, to inter alia consider and approve the issue price, including a discount, for the Equity Shares to be allotted to qualified institutional buyers. 
Gufic Biosciences: Up 0.70%. The Board of Directors on October 04, 2021, has approved the proposal for increasing Capital Expenditure (CapEx) to the tune of Rs 200 crore out of which around Rs 180 crore is proposed to be utilized for setting up of the Company's new manufacturing unit and balance Rs 20 crore for setting up the Research & Development facility, both in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

EID Parry: Up 0.63%. The Board of Directors approved an investment of Rs 19 crore in the share capital of the Joint Venture Company, Algavista Greentech Pvt Ltd. The board has also approved the Sale of the Plant & Equipment of the Sugar Factory at Pettavaithalai, which is not in operation. The Consideration agreed is Rs 44.25 crore. 
IndusInd Bank: Up 1.33%. Net advances up 10% YoY, 5% QoQ. Deposits up 21% and 3% QoQ. CASA ratio stands at 42.1%. 

ICICI Lombard: Down 2.02%. French insurance firm Axa has plans to offload 3.57% of its stakes (1.75 crore shares) of ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company through a block deal. Axa would sell these shares at an indicative price of Rs 1,497 to 1,576 per share, at a discount of 0-5% over the current market price of Rs 1,576.75. The deal size is estimated to value around Rs 2,620 crore. Bharti Enterprises & AXA were allotted shares in ICICI Lombard When Bharti AXA was merged into Lombard.

Info Edge: Down 1.35%. The Company has approved the investment of about Rs 15 crore, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, in 4B Networks Private Limited. This investment is in the exercise of a right available to the Company to subscribe to 4,245 additional securities for an amount upto Rs 15 crore. With this, Info Edge's stakes in 4B Networks will increase from 19.9% to 37.03% on a fully diluted and converted basis. 

Mahindra & Mahindra Finance: Down 0.72%. The NBFC has announced its Q2FY22 updates and said during the quarter, its total disbursement grew by 60% YoY to Rs 6,450 crore and 67% QoQ. In September 2021, the total disbursement stood at Rs 1,900 crore, up 23% YoY, albeit on a lower base, which was impacted by the first wave of COVID-19. With further improvement in mobility during September, the collection efficiency was reported at 100% for September 2021, a further improvement over levels of 95% and 97% in July and August, respectively. This resulted in a further reduction in the NPA contracts during the month. The company believe that this trend will continue in Q3FY22. The Company enjoyed a comfortable liquidity position on its Balance Sheet as of September 30, 2021.
