As many as eight stocks or securities will be added to the Futures & Options (F&O) segment, based on the stock selection criteria as prescribed by SEBI. The additional securities would be available for trading w.e.f. October 29, 2021, subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria of Quarter sigma computation cycle of October 2021, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) said.

In an October 6, 2021 communication, the exchange said that the market lot, scheme of strikes and quantity freeze limit of the said securities shall be informed to members on October 28, 2021 through a separate circular.

These stocks are Atul, Birlasoft Ltd, Chambal Fertilizers Ltd, Firstsource Solutions Ltd, Gujarat State Petronet Ltd, Laurus Labs Ltd, SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd and Whirlpool of India Ltd.    

"Introduction of Futures & Options Contracts on 8 Individual Securities. Members are advised to note that based on the stock selection criteria as prescribed by SEBI vide master circular no. SEBI/HO/MRD/DP/CIR/P/2016/135 dated December 16, 2016, SEBI circular no SEBI/HO/MRD/DP/CIR/P/2018/67 dated April 11, 2018 and approval received from SEBI, members are hereby notified that the futures and options contracts on following 8 additional securities would be available for trading w.e.f. October 29, 2021, subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria of Quarter sigma computation cycle of October 2021," NSE had said.  

Earlier, the exchange has added eight more stocks to the F&O segment and these securities were made available for trading with effect from October 01, 2021.

The new entrants were Abbott India Limited, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited, Dalmia Bharat Limited, Delta Corp Limited, The India Cements Limited, JK Cement Limited, Oberoi Realty Limited and Persistent Systems Limited.
